WASHINGTON – Senator Mike Braun will host a series of roundtable discussions with Senators this summer. The first of which, Exploring Workforce Ready Grants, will be held June 22, 2021 and will feature Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and Executive Director of the Governor’s Workforce Cabinet PJ McGrew as panelists.

BACKGROUND:
Indiana’s Next Level Jobs initiative created two grant programs to scale-up the Hoosier workforce.
One of these programs, which targets job seekers, grants tuition to Hoosiers seeking a post-secondary credential in the most in-demand job fields: advanced manufacturing, building and construction, health and life sciences, information technology and business services, and transportation and logistics.
The success of the program has included huge financial gains for program participants.
Panelists will discuss the importance of such programs and how to replicate these efforts across the country.
