WASHINGTON, D.C. –The Senate passed a resolution introduced by U.S. Senators Mike Braun and Todd Young recognizing the 50th anniversary of the Hulman Center, home to the Indiana State Sycamore basketball teams. In 1979, National Player of the Year Larry Bird led an undefeated regular season team to its first-ever NCAA Division I Tournament at the Hulman Center.
“The Hulman Center stands not only as a beacon of excellence in Indiana basketball, but also as a testament to the enduring values of community, sportsmanship, and unity that embody the Hoosier State. Congratulations on 50 years.” – Senator Braun
