Indiana Senator Mike Braun says the nation needs to come up with a plan to get more people into the nursing field, especially in Indiana.
Braun says the state already has 4300 job openings for nurses, with another 5000 nurses needed by 2031.
Braun says Indiana has slowly rolled back some nursing enrollment restrictions and some high schools allow students to get their CAN’s.
However, Braun says they are small steps towards solving a big problem.
